The Soul's Journey - What You May Encounter
Following the introduction to the concept of the soul, we explore here what we can encounter on the "soul's journey" when we work energetically with our clients. Overall, the soul's journey is a complex process that involves multiple dimensions and spans many lives. This journey depends on the origin and maturity of the soul. Understanding and relating to concepts such as past lives, karma, and soul contracts can seem theoretical. And for most, these concepts also remain purely theoretical until they suddenly emerge during energy work. The article is based on our own, as well as our clients', lived experiences with the topics.
Past Lives
We have learned that you can have memories from past lives, and that these memories can provide insight into current challenges and patterns and resolve them if they are brought to the surface. For example, specific types of fear that cannot be explained rationally, such as the fear of being killed in a particular situation, may in some cases stem from trauma in past lives or from one's lineage. One example from a client was the fear of being "lynched" by her family, which turned out to stem from a previous incarnation where she was burned as a witch by them. When this was processed through energy work, the fear disappeared, and she was able to view the family with greater sobriety and gain clarity to make new choices without fearing them. We have never encountered an irrational fear through our work, there is always a reason. Sometimes just not in this life.
Epigenetic Remnants
Epigenetics is about how traumatic experiences can affect the activity of genes by turning certain gene sequences on or off in subsequent generations, so that trauma can be inherited through generations. For example, sexual abuse experienced by your grandmother can create fear in her descendants, but they are not always activated, so you don't have to fear that you have inherited all the traumas from your predecessors. It comes up if it needs to come up and is relevant to your situation. We have experienced that epigenetics can play a role in relation to trauma in the family line, which can manifest itself in the body and affect our experience of the world today.
Karma
Karma, as we interpret it here, is about the responsibility that comes with the soul's development and journey of maturation in relation to future exchanges. Karma is basically an energetic premise that every energetic intention has a counterpart in a duality of opposites, because people exchange in the form of opposite poles on the horizontal plane. We become, so to speak, entangled energetically with other people and interfere with each other's consciousness. Fortunately, this is something we can work with, but it typically requires a "clean up" in your own system to find clarity about how you should stand in future interactions. This sometimes includes a "cleansing" to remove residues from other people in your energy system, as well as you taking responsibility for your own insights about your own role and ending interactions in the form that maintains problematic exchanges in the future.
Soul Contracts
We perceive soul contracts as agreements we have made with other souls before incarnation. These agreements may be about helping each other learn and grow or about giving each other massive opposition, for example in a sibling relationship. We have often found that soul contracts can be "renegotiated" or canceled if they no longer serve the person or the whole, and that people often play them out over and over again without awareness of what is driving them.
Life Plan
We sometimes see that souls have entered incarnation with a specific task that they later find out needs to be changed because it has been completed and a new one can come. This can be, for example, angelic souls who give and give to people in suffering, but who along the way find out that their life mission must focus more on giving to those who take responsibility for their own life path. What we come in with are entry prerequisites and are not written in stone. A life is not predetermined, but we come in with a collection of variables and possibilities that relate to the family and environment we are born into. By examining the life plan, we can sometimes be allowed, with the approval of the soul and its guides, to facilitate that your life task is changed or completely redone. However, this only happens if it serves the whole. For more information listen to podcast E26.
